Fandom can make people do strange things; dress up like a favourite comic book character, stalk movie stars outside of their hotels or even follow a band on tour. In his new book, Escape Is at Hand, which launches at the Supermarket in Kensington on June 24, local music journalist Joshua Kloke explores his own descent into fandom with the Tragically Hip. New Wax reporter Ian Gormely recently caught up with Kloke to delve into the murky waters of fan culture.
